Sellers boycott eBay

After famous auction site eBay recently revealed changes to their fee structure and feedback system, many sellers got angry and banded together and have planned a strike scheduled to start on President’s Day in the US.

The boycott, which began today, will run through February 25. So what’s their gripe? One is with regards to the fees, the changes mean that most transactions on the auction site will cost more than they would have before. Another is that sellers will no longer be given the option to give negative feedback and commentary to buyers. Instead, sellers will now be required to go through a tedious process of filing complaints through eBay’s Security & Resolution Center. The boycott, which began today, is calling for a complete lack of activity on the site, in both buying and selling.
