Manila Vice Mayor-elect Isko Moreno and 5th district of Manila congressman Amado Bagatsing offered the site of the 48-year-old Manila Zoo to the officials of PBA to be the location of the planned PBA Coliseum.

Congressman Bagatsing said that the PBA Coliseum will generate income as their district is the poorest in Manila. PBA Commisioner Noli Eala welcomes the idea as the Manila Zoo area is a high traffic site, is accessible, and is a prime lot. But they’re also considering other areas such as Quezon City, Taguig, and Bulacan. The plan to erect a coliseum with a 20,000 seating capacity was due to the high cost of rental in the Araneta Coliseum which costs 200,000 pesos.
