I read the news about this horrendous crime committed on Julia who has given so much to the people of my country of origin. She doesn't deserve this. Not a bit. It was heartwarming to know the amount of charity work she has achieved in a short time to make the lives of people better in the poor communities. But at the same time it was heartwrenching to know that her life was cut short by a mongrel lurking in the mountains of Banaue. I am personally outraged about this senseless & despicable act. I am also stoked by the comments of Mr. Raul Gonzales that she was partly to blame for this tragic incident. Bloody hell! What a reckless thing to say coming from a cabinet member. It's adding insult to her already greivng family. Julia will be always be remembered as a special person who has touched the lives of so many people. We offer our prayers to Julia's family. It's so painful and shameful that a foreigner like Julia who rendered her life in service of Filipino people was murdered by fellow Filipino. A very cruel and ungrateful returns for her efforts. My friend Atty. Juvy M. Magsino was also murdered three years ago along with Leyma Fortu. Juvy also rendered her life in service her constituents in Naujan. Until now, we, her friends, still feel the pains of losing her and are still seeking justice for her. And I know Julia's friends, associates, relatives and parents would feel the same. Is this really the fate of people like Julia and Juvy? How many people like them would suffer or have suffered the same fate? Why are these things happening in our country? I know Filipinos like me knows the answers. Only God can change our fate.If Filipinos will unite and live a life according to what the Lord's wants us to be these things would not be possible. To the family of Julia, please accept my sincere condolences for the untimely death of your daughter. And to Julia, I salute you! It is more peaceful now for you that you are with the Creator.
