Angel Locsín was born on April 23, 1985 in Bulacan, where she also grew up. She is the second child of three.

Locsin’s career in show business began after she was discovered by a talent scout while she cut classes with a friend and was shopping at SM City North EDSA. She auditioned for several commercials and later landed a contract with GMA 7.
