FIRST COMMENT: I think this is another good week. Though last week’s performance night is still the BEST for me! :D The theme tonight is like a breath of fresh air (so to speak) from the usual ballads. Tonight we saw a lot of surprises too, especially with Jan’s performance!

SECOND COMMENT: Regine Tolentino looked hot! Her entrance was great! She danced her way to the judges’ table! :D A lot of us were kinda apprehensive with her judging tonight but I think she did very well! She was very honest with her comments! I also appreciated the fact that she pointed out early on that, “…I’m NOT a singer so I’ll pretty much leave the ’singing’ part to them (Mamita & Mr. C). So I’ll be judging on the overall performance.” [not the exact words] She’s always been a good judge on “Shall We Dance?” & I think she really knows what she’s saying! “Pagpasok pa lang nila alam ko na kung kinakabahan ba sila…” She’s very credible too considering the fact that she’s a Latin Dance Competition Champion, so she certainly knows the elements in performing! Kudos to Regine! :D

1) JAN - “Livin’ La Vida Loca” - My only negative comment is that some of the lyrics at the start cannot be understood. Otherwise it was a solid performance! :D It looked like he really studied his performance. His moves are very well choreographed & he executed them very well! Good job! I’m not a fan of Jan but tonight I’d say he was the BEST overall! What a way to start the competition (just like Apple last week)! A lot of us thought he’d do poor tonight but to our surprise he pulled it off! And pulled off the Dance Music theme with flying colors! :D I just don’t quite agree with Mr. C regarding the “singing”, “…nakaka-LOCA!” Yes it was the BEST overall but NOT the best in vocals! When Mamita asked if she could dance with Jan I thought it was SO COOL! ;) This proves that Jan REALLY CONNECTED this time! And yes he can do the “giling”! Hmm…a contender on the rise! What do you think?

2) POW - “Got To Be Real” - If Jan’s moves were very choreographed, Pow’s moves are more spontaneous! :) She had the natural vive! Vocally she was good but I’d say she was kinda overshadowed by Jan’s performance. This is one of her better performances! But I don’t know why Mr. C STILL didn’t like it that much! Mr. C says, “…you need to start re-inventing yourself.” I’m kinda confused. What else do they want? I know Mamita wants to see her, “…in long skirt & high heels.” I don’t know…duh?!

3) MIGUEL - “Make It With You” - Mr. C says, “…wrong choice of song.” I agree! You can’t do so much with that song if your objective is to “dance”. Regine says, “…may 2 times na parang pa-girl ‘yung moves.” I thought so too! :P Haha! And he was very nervous! But I’d still give him credit for going beyond his “comfort zone”. Overall his performance tonight is way below his “Sandra” performance last week. I hope he’ll do better next week!

4) KEN - “Signed, Sealed, Delivered” - Your outfit dude! VERY GAY! :mad: I think it’s a gay designer who did that outfit (no offense please & correct me if I’m wrong). Regine (who by the way is also a designer) says, “…your outfit! ‘Yun ang napapansin ko (points to the feathers on Ken’s chest) imbes na tingnan ko ‘yung face mo.” Me too! See I couldn’t comment anymore on his singing! :P

5) MAU - “Shy Guy” - OK we all know she’s vocally superb! Mr. C says, “…ikaw ang pinakamagaling na singer sa competiton.” But she kinda “held back” on her dancing. Her overall performance lacked that “spark” that Jan had! Too bad! Regine says, “…’wag ka masyado patawa dapat may konting mystery? [forgot the exact word] kasi DIVA ka. So stop making fun of yourself.” Well you can’t change the way a person is! That’s my opinion. Mau says, “…babaguhin ko na lang po.” WHY MAU?! You don’t have to change yourself! Your fans love you the way you are! But sometimes you should just be careful with what you say & how you act. And then Mamita says, “…when you hear that song you think of a tall, sexy girl.” WTF?! :mad: Then Regine & Mamita started to comment on her figure! It was VERY uncalled for! If they just said, “…trim down a bit.” that would be fine with me. But they elaborated on it TOO MUCH! This is my opinion ok! I hope it doesn’t affect Mau’s self-esteem! This is definitely NOT her night! :(

6) GIAN - “Rock DJ” - I love the song! Good choice! Regine says, “…hindi ko gusto ‘yang song pero dahil sayo favorite ko na!” [not the exactwords] It’s not what I expected from him. I expected more footworks & crazy dancing but he definitely had the groove! Regine says, “…sometimes you don’t need big movements.” Vocally good too! Good job! :D

7) APPLE - “Lady Marmalade” - Regine says, “…bagay sayo ‘yung song!” I agree! Good vocals too! :D But it would have been nice if she wore something with “color”. The black & white outfit with matching veil made her look “plain” on stage. Regine says, “…mas nakatingin pa ako sa mga back-ups mo.” And yes, she’s pulling her pants up while singing! Next time I hope she wears something that fits her right! Otherwise it was a good performance! I hope she doesn’t get eliminated tomorrow.

BEST (OVERALL): Jan
GOOD: Gian, Apple
WORST: I’d say there’s no worst tonight because they exerted a lot of effort in their performances!

Overall it was a very entertaining night! Keep the good performances coming!
