bottom line is, mac lots of money for little performance but looks fast.
PC, fast upgradeable faster and cheaper. i dj with a pc. Its nice to know that my system will not get really hot, or posible glitch because of all of the intence mixing that i like to do. great sound for me is every thing, and processor speed is a must. I do not want to risk my gig on a less equiped system.

Well, I love to use things simple my only problem is the enter key… That is all- maybe it’s because this my my first mac… I dunno…. Always here, macbook user with malfunctioning enter keys even if it’s replaced…

men you are crazy! mac is really good! and the virus thing? yes its exciting to fix and remove viruses but hell, ever experience having to reformat your pc because of a virus? and whats wrong with the 20sec boot up? what? cant take a coffee while your mac has already started?

I like the performance of the macbook and the appearance. However, I have to say that the Apple service sucks and that the actual physical macbook itself does is way too poorly constructed. My macbook is only one year and a half old and I’ve probably spent enough money on it to purchase another laptop. I’m not a rough user, but I have gone through THREE topcase changes and FOUR ac adapters. I mean, What’s up with the ac adapters’ price. $100 for something you HAVE to have and it only lasts for 4 months! I’m not saying that it’s bad though. That is, if you’re a millionaire.

Macs are cool because they don’t get cluttered with useless extra features but they keep all the good ones.
SD/MS cards suck. Expresscard expansion is for weirdos. extra ports are dumb. Standard video outputs are for the unwashed masses. I like special adapters, they cost extra and they only work with macs so they’re cool.
Macs aren’t about looks over function. They’re about looks and function over those nerdy PCs that do everything a mac does, using boring standard parts, and also do more (like who wants to do more when you can do enough with a mac?). Video cards on a mac are also classy and simple, not insecure and powerful like on those gaming laptops. Plus it costs a bit more than equivalent spec PCs, so you know it’s higher quality parts.

@Mitch – PC = Windows because 99.99% of PCs run windows.. Linux isnt ready for mainstream.. ubuntu doesnt even work on most dell laptops because no linux driver exists for broadcomm chipsets.. Ive used linux on and off for years now and have developed on it but its not a valid choice for the mainstream yet.
